At the little red house on Oak Tree Road in Edison Township, the stage is abuzz with theater and entertainment. Built in 1895, the Historic Edison Valley Playhouse remains a vibrant center for the performing arts to this day — and this season, visitors can catch a range of shows and performances.

On stage now until February 8th is a run of “Christopher Durang Lampoons Theater”, a rowdy send-up of the theater. Comprised of six one-act plays, this riotous spoof from Tony Award-winning Christopher Durang is sure to delight. Tickets for upcoming shows are available online or at 908-755-4654.

In March, catch “A Man of No Importance”, a heartfelt musical based on the 1994 Albert Finney movie of the same name, gracing the Edison Valley Playhouse stage March 7-22. Finally, from May 9th to the 24th, the Playhouse will host a run of the comical trilogy “The Norman Conquests,” by Alan Ayckbourn.

Visit the Playhouse this season to see quality performances right here in Edison. A township landmark with a rich and storied past, the beloved Edison Valley Playhouse is sure to bring theater and the arts to the town well into the future.
