Memorial Day means a lot of things. It means long weekends, barbecues and fireworks. It means remembering people who died while serving our country. And, in Edison, NJ, it also means the annual Memorial Day parade. This year marks the 54th annual Edison Township Memorial Day Parade, and residents of all ages are invited out to observe the holiday, participate in the joy and commemoration,
and welcome the summer season.
On Sunday, May 29th, starting at 12pm, head out to Division Street at the Main Library in the Stelton part of Edison ‹ that¹s where the parade kicks off. From there, it will head up Plainfield Avenue to Jefferson Boulevard. The parade includes a refreshment stop at American Legion Father & Son Post 435 on Oakland Avenue.
As in previous years, young participants will have a chance to be named “Most Patriotic” as part of the bike decorating contest.
