Since 1989, the Monroe Township Public Library has served as a valuable community hub, bringing residents together around its vibrant events and extensive collection of books and videos. Starting at just 4,000 square feet in the lower level of the Municipal Building, today the library lives in its own dedicated building, with 44,000 square feet of space and a vast range of services, activities, and materials.
Kids looking to take advantage of this fantastic resource can create together, with activities like Sunday Crafts, or flex their strategic and social muscles, with regular group gatherings like the Chess Club. Adults trying to sharpen their understanding of world affairs can listen to stimulating lectures such as “Great Decision: Middle East Update,” taking place on March 5th, or take in sophisticated artistic sounds like the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, performing at the library on March 18th.
Check out the library events calendar to see all the offerings taking place at the library over the next few months — or just drop in. The library’s open from 9:30am-9pm Mon-Thurs, 9:30am-5pm on Fridays, 10am-6pm on Saturdays and 1pm-5pm on Sundays.
