While women composers can be found as far back as the days of ancient Greece, it took until the twentieth century for these creators to really receive recognition. For Ewing Township tenants residing at Ewing Town Center, River Links and Delaware Heights there will be no stifling rather, a celebration instead! On November 23rd @7:30pm at the nearby TCNJ Center For The Arts, the TCNJ Choir will perform a program entitled CELEBRATING WOMEN COMPOSERS. Here is a description of the program by TCNJ;
“TCNJ Choirs are performing an entire season of Female Composers. “Glory Be the Human Heart” will feature Carol Barnett’s The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass which combines traditional Bluegrass instruments, chorus with uplifting and timely texts. This concert will also feature other settings of American folk musical styles arranged by Andrea Ramsey and Emma Lou Diemer.”
