Perth Amboy and its residents are enjoying the journey towards the holidays this year. Starting Friday, December 17th at 5pm, the corner of Smith Street and Madison Avenue will become Christmas Village-complete with Santa Claus, music, and free hot chocolate.
Created by the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District and the City of Perth Amboy to bring the community together and support downtown, Christmas Village is a perfect place to mingle with neighbors and celebrate the season. Come take your child’s picture with Santa and create a new, lasting memory for you and your family!
On Saturday, December 18th, visitors can look forward to live caroling performances by a number of groups, including the Hickory Tree Chorus.
Elsewhere in Perth Amboy, more musical performances will take place: on Sunday, December 19th, the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Choir will have its annual Lessons and Carols service, held at 10:30pm at 183 Rector Street. The presentation includes 13 pieces of music from around the world, and will feature an award-winning accompanist.
Meanwhile, on the evening of Friday, December 17th, Cathedral International will host an original musical entitled, “It’s Time for a Miracle,” featuring a range of dance, music and theater performances.
