Honor the beauty, diversity and complexity of India right here in North Brunswick. On August 11th, North Brunswick celebrates India’s Independence Day with exhibitions, a flag-hoisting ceremony, youth and adult performances and tasty refreshments
brought to you by Guru Palace.

For yet another year, this exciting celebration will bring together stories, smells, tastes and sounds from India, delighting everyone from India-natives and those of Indian descent all the way to those encountering Indian culture for the first time. This year, the day will include a youth art and writing competition called “India – One Land, Many Cultures”, a senior citizens photo contest entitled “First Memorable Moment in USA,” and an oral history book release.

This summer, North Brunswick offers plenty of ways to explore culture, bask in the warmth and enjoy the long days. Residents can also look forward to North Brunswick’s edition of National Night Out, to be held on August 7th from 5-8:30pm at the Police Department Parking Lot, located at 710 Hermann Road.

North Brunswick’s India Day celebration will take place on August 11th starting at 10am at North Brunswick High School, located at 98 Raider Road.
