There are plenty of ways to show your love for the planet this month. Earth Day is coming up on Sunday, April 22nd, and all over New Jersey will bring communities together to celebrate the earth, learn sustainable practices, and spread a message of living in harmony with the planet.

On Saturday, April 21st, come out to Edison Memorial Tower & Museum and Edison State Park to plant flowers, mulch, listen to speeches from Mayor Ricigliano and other local officials, help with water testing, and bike the area. Presented by the Township of Edison, Edison Township Environmental Commission, and the Edison Sustainable New Jersey Green Team, this daylong event will be a great opportunity to meet with green organizations in Edison, learn about all the exciting environmental initiatives happening in the township, and get your hands dirty in the soil–all while making use of some of the wonderful green space managed by the township.

Edison’s Earth Day Celebration will be free to the public and take place from 9am until 3pm. The park is located at 37 Christie Street in Edison Township. BestRentNJ.com rental apartments located near the park include Hidden Valley, Oak Tree Village,  Gill Lane, Hyde Park 55+ and Green Plaza.
