Over the past few years, the Carteret Waterfront has become a prized part of Centrla Jersey. This spring, the borough’s first-ever municipal marina was officially opened, while a new, 1.5-mile public walkway, including a 1-mile boardwalk, is slated to be opened soon along the Arthur Kill.
Now that the once-derelict waterfront has been transformed into a beautiful open space, public celebrations and festivals have found their home overlooking the Kill. And, on Saturday, July 27th, the borough will be holding its annual Latin Fest in Carteret Waterfront Park. In past years, Carteret Latin Fest celebrations have brought thousands of visitors out for music, food, community and the lovely waterfront views.
Hosted by Mayor Dan Reiman, this year’s event will feature Raul Acosta y Oro Solido and other live acts, and will include food, vendors and fireworks. The event kicks off at 4pm and will continue until 11pm.
