With pumpkins on doorsteps and fake skeletons, ghosts and ghouls popping up everywhere, the evidence is in: Halloween season is upon us, and with it a bounty of haunted hay rides, costume contests and fall festivals.
This year, Carteret is hosting its annual Fall Festival and Halloween Parade on October 30th at Carteret Park. Head to the park starting at 11:30am, when the parade line-up will begin before officially commencing at noon. From 12-3pm, look forward to the festival, programmed to include a range of entertainment and activities, including pumpkin-picking, face-painting, a moon bounce, prizes, a giant pumpkin weight guessing contest, music from the Rolling Stones cover band Moonlight Mile and more.
In addition, residents are invited to join in the borough’s Halloween house decorating contest. To participate, take a photo of your Halloween decorated home and send it to events@carteret.net along with your name, address and telephone number.
