August may be upon us, but in Rahway, it feels like summer’s just getting started. While other summer concert series are winding down, Rahway’s is just heating up: this month, look forward to “Big Thursday Nights,” the annual Rahway Mayor’s Concert Series, held at the mobile stage in front of Union County Performing Art Center.
The series open on August 2nd with a performance from VoicePlay, an all-star a cappella group featured on Season 4 of NBC’s The Sing-Off. On August 8th, Steel Union and Shotgun Wedding will be playing, while August 16th brings Brother Josephus/Love Revolution with opener Taye McQueen. Finally, the series closes out with Sheila E, along with opener Miss Ohio, playing the stage on August 23rd. Concerts begin at 7:30pm, and will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather.
