Where can you find world-class music, theater and dance performances-right here in New Jersey? Since 2004, bergenPAC has been home to the best in performing arts. As the John Harms Center before that, and the Englewood Plaza in its even earlier days, the facility has had a long history-from a beautiful movie theater in the early days of film to a concert hall starting in the ’70s, this storied theater was witness to and part of the evolution of culture and entertainment in the 20th century.

Today, bergenPAC is a cultural draw to Northern New Jersey, hosting comics, musicians, dancers, and more. Cyndi Lauper, Aretha Franklin and Brian McKnight have all graced the bergenPAC stage this past year, while this month has already brought the likes of Chris Isaak and Lewis Black. But before 2010 gives way to 2011, bergenPAC has a few more shows in store.

Seasonal entertainment will be coming to Englewood via the Leahy Irish Family Christmas, a Canadian family act filled with fiddles, dancing, singing, keyboarding, and percussion-playing bergenPAC on December 19th. Meanwhile, a performance of “A Christmas Carol” by Theatreworks USA is set to happen on December 23rd. For more information on the bergenPAC schedule, visit the organization’s website.
