Over the years, I have personally transitioned from road-running to trail-running. In the debate of road-running versus trail-running, there are two widely accepted truths;

  1. Trail-running is the more challenging activity inasmuch as you’re confronted with uneven surfaces consisting of soft ground, mud, gravel soil and grass. The challenge is that you’ve got to pay attention lest you sustain an injury when these changes unfold on your run.
  2. Road-running affords a more consistent approach with fewer terrain changes or surprises but because the surface is by and large unchanging one tends to sustain more injuries from the hard asphalt.

The good news is that Bayonne residents at Bayonne Bay who enjoy their parks can partake in trail-running on what reviewers at ALL-TRAILS consider their 4 best locations for trail running. Just click on the trail title and you’ll be taken to the All Trails review and location page for each.
