Housed in Woodbridge’s historic Barron Library building, the Barron Arts Center is a cultural hub for Woodbridge and Middlesex County. Each season, the Barron Arts Center offers musical performances, art exhibits, poetry readings and more. As the Winter/Spring season gets underway,  visitors can look forward to the enriching and exciting programming ahead.

For visual arts, be sure to check out “Off the Beaten Path,” an exhibit featuring the work of Paul Kiesche, a local artist specializing in landscape and portrait oil paintings. Interested in live music? On Friday, January 28th, the All Seasons Chamber Players will perform transporting chamber songs  from the past three centuries. Meanwhile, look ahead for the Spook Handy Trio, coming in March, and Tom Brislin, hitting the Barron stage in April.

In addition, the Center will offer poetry readings and workshops once a month as part of its ongoing PoetsWednesday series. The next poet to come through will be Laura Bass, on February 9th. For a more comprehensive listing of this season’s offerings, be sure to visit the Winter/Spring 2011 Schedule of Events.

The Center offers all of its programming for just a small suggested donation, fulfilling its commitment to bringing public art to Central Jersey. For over 30 years, it has brought local artists and performers to center stage, providing a glimpse into the talents right here in our state.

The Barron Arts Center is located at 528 Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The gallery is open Monday through Friday 11am-4pm, and Saturday and Sunday 2pm-4pm. BestRentNJ.com rental apartments located nearest the Barron Arts Center include Evergreen ForestForest View
