The pandemic has forced us to change up some of our holiday traditions this year — canceling some, while putting a new twist on others. Other traditions are finding a way to continue, but at a slightly smaller scale. And if there’s one tradition that’s well-accustomed to doing things at a smaller scale, it’s the Barron Arts Center’s annual Holiday Model Train Show.

Each year, this free event brings together lovers of all things miniature — especially trains. For this year’s exhibit, on display through December 30th, look forward to seeing exceptionally rendered miniaturized versions of local landmarks, sports installations, a boardwalk scene and more, all set against an impressive array of trains. The exhibit is the work of Woodbridge resident Mike Gelesky, who builds and displays his work to share with the community each year.

This year, due to coronavirus restrictions, groups will be limited to 10 people at a time, so make sure to make your reservation in advance. Masks and social distancing protocols are required while attending the show.
