In the Borough of Metuchen, the dog days of summer bring music, theater, sports and more. At the Metuchen Public Library, the summer has seen stories, contests, and dinner adventures.

On Wednesday, August 28th, the library will transform into the set for “August Heat,” a 1945 radio play adapted W. F. Harvey short story of the same name, coming to town thanks to Alex Dawson and Raconteur Radio. The play is filled with suspense, foreboding, and a twist as two men find their paths unexpectedly crossed. Starting at 7:30pm, this exciting event brings costumes and dramatic lighting and sound, and is a story you won’t soon forget. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Metuchen Public Library, and admission is free.
