This summer in Metuchen has brought some great opportunities to be outside — from live music to outdoor film screenings to fireworks on the fourth. This August, the fun continues with “Metuchen Rocks! Free Outdoor Concerts,” a weekly music series running through the end of the month and into September.
Held at the Metuchen Summer Stage on the corner of New and Center Streets, this season’s concerts bring a range of styles and flavors. On Thursday, August 14th, check out pop-rock-songwriter Andy B & Friends. R&B more your scene? On August 21st, Big Nancy and the Supreme Court take the stage. Rounding out the month is Kevin Hildebrandt Trio, a jazz ensemble coming to town on August 28th. Next month, the series closes out with Citizens Band Radio, a country rock band hitting the stage on Saturday, September 6th. All August shows start at 7:30pm, while the final show will be held at 12:30pm to accompany the Metuchen farmers market.
