Formerly known as Junebug, MetFest is a daylong celebration of all things art and music in Metuchen. From noon to 10pm on Saturday, June 9th, head to downtown Metuchen for a street festival like no other, bringing together vendors, artists and creatives of all stripes.

During the festival, head over to the borough’s new Woodmont Plaza for tasty food and beverages from your favorite Metuchen establishments, along with amazing performances by musical headliner Scott Wolfson & Other Heroes. Other musicians playing the stage will include Lowlight, an indie rock band, the Cold Seas, playing alternative/dark pop/rock, and the Rock n Roll Hi Fives, a family rock band. A second stage, located at Hillside and Main Streets, will be hosting performances by local Metuchen bands throughout the day.

In addition, Lambertville artist and art therapist Susanne Pitak Davis has been selected to custom build a sculpture for the festival, while other artists will be showing off their work and engaging in live performances.

From 12pm to 6pm, Metuchen’s youngest residents are encouraged to participate in the Junior Bug Zone, located in the parking lot behind Metuchen Savings Bank opposite Lollipop Land. There, they’ll have the opportunity to help complete a giant wall mural, take selfies and play with bubbles.
