As summer winds down, we prepare for a return to routine: shorter days, school supplies, crunchy leaves underfoot. But not quite yet. Because first, there’s Labor Day. And in Rutherford, the Annual Labor Day Street Fair is a day of entertainment, fun, community and general merriment.
Now in its 44th year, the Rutherford Street Fair is one of the more popular street fairs in the state — and with good reason. On September 2nd from 10am to 5pm, look forward to over 250 vendors offering collectibles, crafts and antiques, plus delicious food from local restaurants, rides, a magic show, balloon artists, street performers and face painting. From 11am on, there will be musical entertainment at the Hutzel Memorial Band Shell, starting with a performance by local artist Lise Avery, while throughout the day local artists will be selling their work, a mechanical bull ride will be operating, and a beer garden will be open to guests over the age of 21.
The Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair will take place around Park Avenue from Ames Avenue to Donaldson Avenue in downtown Rutherford, NJ.
