     East Rutherford is a borough in Bergen County and is home to New Jersey’s iconic Meadowlands Sports Complex. The town is made up of 3.9 square miles of land and is home to about 10,000 residents. The Passaic River makes up the northwest border while the Hackensack river is the eastern boundary. Between East Rutherford’s proximity to New York City and the diverse offerings of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, residents have a plethora of attractions and entertainment right at their fingertips.

     East Rutherford is serviced by NJ Transit’s Rutherford Station, located on the border of East Rutherford and Rutherford Townships, and providing service to Midtown Manhattan via the Bergen County Rail Line. Additionally, the 76, 160, 163, 164 and 322 buses run through the town, providing connection to Newark and New York City. The township is located off of Exit 16W on the Western Spur of the NJ Turnpike and is accessible via routes 120 and 17.

    The Meadowlands includes the IZOD Center, home of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets, and MetLife Stadium, home to both the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
