This year’s Holiday Festival in Carteret will be a multi-part affair. From brightly lit houses to a visit from Santa, residents have much to look forward to.
The festival kicks off the evening of Friday, December 10th with live holiday music and a not-to-be missed tree-lighting ceremony, to be held at 6:30pm in Carteret Park. Once the tree is lit, the guest of honor will arrive: Santa Claus is coming to town.
As the weekend continues, attendees can look forward to pictures with Santa, horse and buggy rides, carousel rides, and scrumptious holiday refreshments, including cocoa and cider-perfect for taking off the winter chill.
In addition, there will be a borough-wide house decorating competition held on Friday night. Watch Carteret come alive with lights, wreaths and a reindeer or two as you and your neighbors show off your creative talents. If you would like to participate in the contest, make sure to register by December 8th.
The Carteret Annual Holiday Festival will be held Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th, 2010 from 5pm to 9pm in Carteret Park. BestRentNJ.com rental apartments located in the Borough of Carteret include Meridian Square, Meridian Terrace, and Carteret Gardens.
