For fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables, Middlesex residents can look to the Old Bridge Township Municipal Parking Lot. From June 1st through October 26th, the lot transforms into the Old Bridge Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market, held on Wednesdays from 11am to 7pm.
Now in only its second year, the market has already become a beloved township staple, offering visitors access to scrumptious Jersey Fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products and more. In addition, vendors offer artisanal crafts and specialty food items–from handcrafted jewelry to homemade breads.
Buying food at your local farmers’ market is a great opportunity to make healthier eating decisions. By creating a direct relationship to the farmer growing your food, you’ll be able to make more informed choices about the foods you’re putting into your body. Anyone who has visited the farmers’ market this month knows that the strawberries have been sensational.
