Since the summer, art lovers haven’t had to go far to see great compositions. Now in its final week, “Flora, Fauna and Faces,” a collection of Linden resident Charlene Rieger-Velli’s work, has been on display in the gallery space at the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
Presented by the Union County Board of Freeholders, this exhibition showcases 16 photographs by Rieger-Velli. The self-taught artist began displaying her work after winning second place in the National Arts Program Exhibit and Contest for Union County employees and their families in 2010.
This contest was one of the many avenues through which the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs channels its tireless dedication to the arts. In addition, the office sponsors a Senior Citizens Art Show each June, a Teen Arts Program each March, Art in the Gardens each October and more. Visit the Pearl Street Gallery before the end of the month to catch a sampling of the work that the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs supports.
“Flora, Fauna and Faces,” will be on display through Friday, September 30th from 8:30am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Pearl Street Gallery is located at 633 Pearl Street in Elizabeth Township.
