Her soulful voice changed music in America forever. Now, the famous First Lady of Jazz is the subject of an upcoming tribute concert at the Arts Guild of New Jersey in Rahway.

On Friday, October 14th, look forward to “Comes Love,” a Billie Holiday tribute performance featuring Demetria Joyce Bailey, Vince di Mura and the George Street Project. Expect such favorites as “God Bless the Child,” “One For My Baby,” “A Fine Romance,” and many more, as the memory of Holiday’s crooning voice and heart-wrenching melodies is evoked.

The Arts Guild of New Jersey is a non-profit arts center dedicated to the promotion of art in New Jersey, hosting classes, workshops, presentations and special events like this one. Just one part of the diverse programming at this multi-faceted space, “Comes Love” is sure to remind attendees of the power of music, the pull of jazz, and, of course, the magic of Billie Holiday.

“Comes Love” begins at 8pm on October 14th. Tickets have been on sale since September 16th and cost $16 in advance, $20 at the door.
