Things are looking Jurassic around Secaucus these days. At Field Stations: Dinosaurs, thirty-one life-sized dinosaurs are being featured in an exciting new exhibition. Offering visitors the chance to see, in living color, what it’s like to wander amongst these awe-inspiring creatures, this new addition to the Secaucus landscape is sure to delight and educate.
Opening May 26th, 2012, Field Station: Dinosaurs is set in beautiful Laurel Hill Park, and offers children of all ages the chance to take part in a range of activities to learn more about our prehistoric predecessors. From Raptor Feud, in which participants show off their dino knowledge, to Avian Dinosaurs, in which bird watching gets taken to prehistoric levels, these interactive stations teach, amuse and inspire. In addition, kids have the chance to learn about fossils found right here in New Jersey, take part in a dinosaur Meet-and-Greet (think petting zoo with dinos) and witness a simulated T-Rex “Feeding Frenzy.”
This spring, the park is open to school groups from Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm, and to the general public on Saturdays & Sundays, 10am-5pm. Click here for more information about hours and admissions.
