The fast track to holiday fun awaits. This season, head to the Barron Arts Center in Woodbridge to see the Holiday Model Train Exhibit. Now in its 22nd year, the annual show features a miniature rendition of a Main Street town, a beachy landscape and a snowy mountain town—all curated by Michael Gelesky, resident of the Colonia section of Woodbridge.
Constructed from over 500 feet of track, the installation takes almost a month to set up. There are usually four vehicles whirring their way around the train track, plus a couple trolleys and a handcar. And, with a complex electrical wiring backend, the train set is outfitted with some nifty lights and buttons, making for a beautiful and interactive experience for visitors of all ages.
The exhibit is on display through December 28th, minus Christmas Day, and is open weekdays from 11am-4pm and weekends from 2-4pm. For more information, contact the Barron Arts Center at (732)-634-0413.
