When I was a kid, I SO wanted to be a soapbox derby racer but alas, mom and dad said I was way too young at 10 years old.  After prolonged sulking, they helped me cope with their decision by taking me to the nearby department store in Union NJ (Two Guys on Morris Ave.) and buying me my first ever model – a Pinebox miniature racer.

I still remember the excitement of building my first Pinebox racer along with my dad and best friend at the time, Jeff. That first construction project led to a youth of building dozens of model cars, trucks and my lifelong fave…motorcycles!
