At the Old Bridge Public Library, reading is only the beginning. From career advice and book discussions to films and computer classes, the library offers a wealth of community resources and activities. This winter, the library has been the site for tutoring sessions, crochet lessons, film screenings, fiction readings, resume workshops and more — and there’s still much in store.
Having issues with your computer or cell phone? Visit Tech Buddies, near the information desk on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm and Mondays from 6pm to 8pm. Want to show-off your seven letter words? Pop in for Scrabble Club, every Thursday at 1pm. Maybe you just want to sit back and watch a film — every Friday at 1:30pm, Old Bridge Public Library presents Friday Films. This month has already brought favorites The Great Gatsby, The Ides of March and Stepmom, while Murder by Death and A Few Good Men will screen before the month is done.
The library also offers opportunities to catch excellent local arts — and even the chance to perform your own feats of creativity. In February, come observe or present at the Coffeehouse and Open Mike Night, to be held February 1st from 2pm until 4pm. Or, visit the library for the monthly Garden State Speculative Fiction Writers series, held the first Saturday of the month at 11am.
The Old Bridge Public Library offers programming and activities for residents of all ages. Pop on by to read a book, take part in a class, or watch a performance or film. If you’re an Old Bridge resident, the library is here for you.
