With the sudden — and long-awaited — arrival of spring, many Garden State residents are looking for more opportunities to be outside. And in Rahway, NJ, the opportunities are only getting better. Longtime favorite Rahway River Park is getting an upgrade, with renovations including artificial turf, restrooms, a concession stand, and bleachers that can accommodate up to 5000 spectators.
All of these updates will come together to form the new home for Rahway High School sports teams, including the school’s football, soccer and track teams.
One of ten parks in Rahway, Rahway River Park has long been a beautiful and nature-filled location well-suited to running, biking, barbecuing, baseball or just hanging out by the lake. Designed by the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted, the famous designer of New York City’s renowned Central Park, Rahway River Park is an ideal place to spend time outdoors in Union County and welcome the changing of the seasons.
