A photo is never just a photo. It represents an image captured in time, through the eyes of its photographer, shaped by its subjects. Each photo contains stories, ideas, and pieces of the past. So what happens when a photo is transformed?
That’s the question at the heart of Photo-Transformations, a mixed-media art exhibit at the West Windsor Arts Center Gallery. Since the exhibit opened on September 14th, visitors have gotten to experience the world of photos, reimagined, as artists responded to a call to submit “original photos that have been hand-painted, collaged, overlayed with other media, or otherwise transformed.” Haven’t yet made it to check out this fascinating work? The exhibit will remain open for two more weeks. Visit the West Windsor Arts Center Gallery from Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm and Saturday, 12-4pm until Saturday, November 7th, when the exhibit closes.
