The West Windsor Arts Council has members of many talents. For the latest member exhibition, entitled “The Natural Muse,” artists were invited to submit artwork that showcased a connection with nature using a variety of media. Since March 13th, the exhibition has been on display, with works selected by juror Joy Kreves, a mixed media artist “who explores the connections between language, psychology and landscape.” On display until May 6th, the exhibit features work by artists Scot J. Wittman, who won the best in show award for “Boulder Dancer,” as well as Bill Plank and Helene Plank.
As it closes, new work will enter the spotlight: this Saturday, WWAC’s next exhibit will open. Look forward to an art installation project called “CRAVING NATURE – The Feast,” by Joy Kreves — a one-day only event with an artist’s talk at 4:30.
Since 2002, the West Windsor Arts Council has held community arts programs throughout West Windsor — from a summer music series and film series to visual and literary arts events. Now in its home in the township’s historic firehouse, the WWAC hosts a range of performances and exhibitions.
