We’ve all heard of Trick or Treat — but Trunk or Treat? In what has quickly become a tradition for the Borough of Metuchen, the Annual Halloween Parade and Trunk & Treat is a holiday event for residents of all ages, hosted by the Metuchen Chamber of Commerce and the Metuchen Recreation Commission.
From 2pm to 3:15pm on Sunday, October 27th, head out to Center Street. The parade starts at the Metuchen Senior Citizens Center, and costumed kids and adults alike can show their stuff by dressing up and participating in the fun. Families are invited to park their vehicles along the parade route, decorate their trunks, and distribute treats to those parading by.
Anyone wishing to set up their vehicle for the event is required to register in advance. Look out for online registration at the Chamber of Commerce website, coming soon. In addition, Chamber of Commerce business members will set up tables for distributing candy to parade participants and attendees.
