For the first part of its 150 year life, 1867 Sanctuary was a gathering place for events and communities both secular and spiritual in Ewing. Today, it’s no longer a church and has instead transformed into an arts and cultural center, hosting concerts, theater performances and more.
This week, look forward to a performance by the Eric Mintel Quartet, presented by Preservation New Jersey and the New Jersey Jazz society and performing beautiful acoustic sounds, coming up on Saturday, August 24th. As next month rolls around, there will be performances by solo classical guitarist Hannah Murphy on September 1st, jazz guitarists Josh Marcum and Gene Bertonicini on September 6th, and guitarist Liz Hogg on September 7th. As the month continues, stay tuned for sounds from Bossa Brazil, playing jazz’ The Beagles, covering sounds of Motown; Marc Kaye’s Comedy Cabaret; and more.
